Sorry, I haven't written in a good while, but I have been busy making dishcloth's for the church sale. We have a learn a stitch weekly in my group, and I've been making them for a few month's now.

A friend gave me a couple pillowcase doll kits, and I made one of them yesterday. I bought some 8X8 squares from a friend to embroidery, and may work on them this winter when we are snowed in.
There are 6 pkg's of 6 squares each. Should be enough to make a small quilt.

We got a new grandson October 15, 2016. He sure is sweet, and had so much fun taking his cup cake apart at his 1 year old party. He loves to ride on his papa's scooter, and golf cart. He just loves to ride.

Sharing a couple pictures.
This stitch is called BEAN STITCH. Also, made into a dishcloth. Did not need a border. It seemed to create it's own border. http://www.crochet-basics.com/crochet-bean-stitch.html

This stitch is the INTERLOCKING STITCH.. I liked it so much I made two in different variegated colors. The tutorial the lady is using different colors and creating a beautiful cloth. I thought the variegated yarn was just as pretty. The beginning chain if you don't know how to make it she has
a site you can go to and get her tutorial.

This stitch is the V STITCH... There are different ways to make the V STITCH, but this girl made it so simple I just had to try her method out. I used two colors of cotton yarn, and had oodles of tails to work in. I bordered it to help with those end. I think this pattern would be also great in a variegated color. It is also in a Tutorial.

This stitch is the DIAMOND TRELLIS STITCH... If you are game for learning a new stitch by all means you should tackle this one. Again there was oodles of tails to work in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOuDqJ57LAg

The next two cloth's I am going to share with I knitted them in a KAL in Facebook with Lisa and Alli at Knitwits Heaven. We just finished a KAL, and made a cloth with a Rooster design. Anyone can join in the KAL's if you are on facebook. She hosts them every other month, and the next one will begin in September if you are interested.
In May we made a Flower...

This month we made a Rusty Rooster Cloth..

This next cloth I crocheted myself, but have not written up the pattern. I got the idea from a friend that had also free handed a cloth similar. This cloth is excellent for a scrubby. When I get the time I will make another one since this one was gifted to a friend this week.

One more cloth it is knitted. I had never knit a round cloth, so I invited a friend to make this cloth too. It is a free pattern on the net, but I don't remember the name of the cloth, but you might recognize it, and the designer.

I have been coming to my blog and checking to see who has been visiting me. I have been making dishcloth's in my group with a lady that is sending links each Wednesday to LEARN A NEW STITCH. I capitalized that so you could see the name of what we are doing. I'm not screaming. :)

I am going to try and match up the link to each cloth I've made, and share pictures to you all, so maybe you would like to make some of them yourself.

I think I told you all that I have a new grandson. He will be 9 month's old the 15th of July. He is growing so fast, and learning almost faster than us old folks can keep up with him. He is still in the crawling stage, but he has been walking holding on to things for a good while now.

My DH is disabled, and can only walk with support, and our grandson plays with his rolling walker and pushes it around walking. He sure has fun with it. He thinks he has graduated his toys, and now our furniture is his toys.

As you can see we grandma's are always bragging on our grandchildren, and I have 3 in my old age.

I have been crocheting hats. I've made 3 adult hats, and one for my grandson. He wanted an Iron Man Hat, so I did a search until I found one that suited him. He can hardly wait for the temp. to get cold enough to wear.

School has been out for deer season last week, and this week. They are sleeping over as often as mom and dad will let them, and of course us too. They would stay here around the clock if we would allow them. :) The adult hats I've made you can find the pattern on Ravelry ( free download ) French Vanilla Winter set. It also has a scarf. I will be making a couple scarves to go with the hats. I've also made a couple spiro scrubby's. You can find the pattern by entering in the search Spiro Scrubby by Judith Prindle 3/05. I don't have a picture of one, so will make one to share a picture.

Now to show you some pictures.

He came home with Jaundice, and a fractured collar bone. Of course we know it is
just a cartridge, but it should have been normal, not fractured. JMO

But, he has another problem called
Tracheomalacia - congenital. The doc. treating him said he has another baby that was born with the
same condition.

I don't agree with a doc breaking the mother's water, and inducing labor
hours before she gives birth. God did not intend for babies to come that way.
He break's the water, and then the baby comes.

Seems like babies are born on a doctor's schedule now days instead
of the way God planned them to be born. Well, no seems about it; they are.

They need that extra week to fully develop, and if
there are problems then a mother knows it was to be.

It has been awhile since I posted here, and I see some of you have continued to come visit me in hopes that I have added something new, or designed something new.

I have been working absolutely month's on this afghan. 12 squares and each one of them are
a different technique other than the usual knit and purl stitches, and not all the same size which poses a problem setting them together.

School summer vacation for our grandchildren took out 2 month's of that time. Just can't concentrate with an 11, and 8 year old in the house, and it was so hot they couldn't be outside long, and most of the time when they could it was late in the evening after the sun went down; by then their parents were home from working.

So, once school got back in session I worked like a mad woman trying to catch up, and get the Afghan squares made, and set together.

Now I am in the process of making my DGS an Iron Man hat, as requested by him. I found a real neat pattern, but for some reason the directions are not working out for me, and I am not new to making hats, both crochet and knit, but do like to go by a pattern. Oh well, I'll look for just a simple plain hat for the back ground and see if this mask will work out right. I may even give the directions a second try to see if I missed something. I sure like this hat though.
I was looking at everyone's blog, and realized it has been 5 months since I've posted here.

I hope each one of you have had a good 2016 year.

I haven't gotten to do much crafts in about as long. I have begun the Knit Sampler Afghan by

I just finished this washcloth. There were some new stitches I had never done before as you can see I have holes in the point of the heart, but I did try. :)

I hopefully will get back to making some snowflakes for those of you that come looking for a new one, but for now I have some other crafts I want to make. Just keep checking back to see what I've made next.

I have my August Bells Snowflake tablecloth started, but that will be a long running project as I am only working on it in between projects.

Come by again and visit. Leave me a comment, so I will know you were here, and that also lets me go visit your blog.
It looks a bit wonky because I had to put something over the head to get the hat to fit. I need to try and find a larger head form for the adult hats.

Anyway, I like how this one turned out. It was more of an experiment since I had never combined two yarns like this before, and I didn't want to carry the yarn, but to knit it into the round, and I managed to catch it up with the stitch in the center of each repeat.

You can see the variegated yarn in places, but I am learning. I am going to make another one with a Violet background, and the same variegated yarn for the butterflies.

I am now in the process of knitting a Valentine heart cloth. I am learning some new stitches making this cloth, and loving it.

Hope you like it, and be easy on me as I am still learning.
I plan to start another knit hat soon. I do love to knit. :)
Hello Family, and friends,

Fall is in full swing here the leaves are falling, and we have lots of trees which means lots of leaves.

I made this doily in a CAL at the THREADIES group on facebook. It was shared by crochet memories for an October CAL.

I used Aunt Lydia size 10 thread in Melon for the pumpkin's, and Black thread with a gold metallic in it for the pineapple's. Click on the picture, and you should see the doily better.

I gave the doily to a very special friend that I met through a group, and we became close friends over the years.

I am also knitting a hat and mitten set for a lady and I know it is going to be a great big surprise to her when she gets it.

Now, I am making Lip Balm Holders for a lady that wants a dozen to give for christmas gifts. I have 9 made so far, and will share a picture after she has them.

I see some of my friends visit me often, and I like seeing you have come by to see if I have posted.

I'll say bye again, and thank you for coming to visit me again.

Have a great day,
Hello Friends, family, and visitors,

I have been busy this month, and haven't gotten in to post. I just finished two
chemo hats for my youngest SIL. One is Grey and the other is Black. I made
her an Owl hat, and glove set which I have already given to her. The pictures are
on my desktop computer, so I'll share pictures of them later. They are also knitted.

I am in the process of making my DGD a gown for her American Girl Doll I got for
her birthday. She does not know I am making the gown, so this will be a surprise to her.

Our grandson ask me the other day if I would get him something big for his birthday, and I knew he meant money wise, and I said oh yes, I am going to, so he proceeded to tell me all the things he wants. LOL. We just have the two DGC, so unlike many of you we aren't burdened with a huge expense for the holidays, or special occasions like birthdays.

I sure wish google would get me in the right location. They keep me in Arkansas all the time I have no idea where they got that idea about my location, but I am in S.E. Missouri.

The leaves are falling, and our trees are beginning to look bare. We just shred up the leaves with our lawn mower they make a good mulch, and turn into dirt eventually.

When you come by please take a bit of time and say hello to let me know you stayed long enough to view my blog, and you are welcome to make any, or all of my free patterns. I've seen them on pinterest, that several people have pinned there. I haven't designed any snowflakes this year, just the doily, and I do plan to design another one this winter when I am shut in with the cold and snow.

Take care, enjoy life, we only have one chance at it, so make it the best you can.
