Pumpkin Patch Halloween Doily

Hello Family, and friends,

Fall is in full swing here the leaves are falling, and we have lots of trees which means lots of leaves.

I made this doily in a CAL at the THREADIES group on facebook.  It was shared by crochet memories for an October CAL.

I used Aunt Lydia size 10 thread in Melon for the pumpkin's, and Black thread with a gold metallic in it for the pineapple's.  Click on the picture, and you should see the doily better.

I gave the doily to a very special friend that I met through a group, and we became close friends over the years.

I am also knitting a hat and mitten set for a lady and I know it is going to be a great big surprise to her when she gets it.

Now, I am making Lip Balm Holders for a lady that wants a dozen to give for christmas gifts.  I have 9 made so far, and will share a picture after she has them.

I see some of my friends visit me often, and I like seeing you have come by to see if I have posted.

I'll say bye again, and thank you for coming to visit me again.

Have a great day,

Katheryn

Things I have been making in October

Hello Friends, family, and visitors,

I have been busy this month, and haven't gotten in to post.  I just finished two
chemo hats for my youngest SIL.  One is Grey and the other is Black.  I made
her an Owl hat, and glove set which I have already given to her.  The pictures are
on my desktop computer, so I'll share pictures of them later.  They are also knitted.

I am in the process of making my DGD a gown for her American Girl Doll I got for
her birthday.  She does not know I am making the gown, so this will be a surprise to her.

Our grandson ask me the other day if I would get him something big for his birthday, and I knew he meant money wise, and I said oh yes, I am going to, so he proceeded to tell me all the things he wants. LOL.   We just have the two DGC, so unlike many of you we aren't burdened with a huge expense for the holidays, or special occasions like birthdays.

I sure wish google would get me in the right location.  They keep me in Arkansas all the time I have no idea where they got that idea about my location, but I am in S.E. Missouri.

The leaves are falling, and our trees are beginning to look bare.  We just shred up the leaves with our lawn mower they make a good mulch, and turn into dirt eventually.

When you come by please take a bit of time and say hello to let me know you stayed long enough to view my blog, and you are welcome to make any, or all of my free patterns.  I've seen them on pinterest, that several people have pinned there.   I haven't designed any snowflakes this year, just the doily, and I do plan to design another one this winter when I am shut in with the cold and snow.

Take care, enjoy life, we only have one chance at it, so make it the best you can.

Miniature Picot Lace Doily

Hello Friends,

Today is July 1st. and just a few month's left to get all our Christmas crocheting done.  I have been shopping for the past 6 month's for our grandchildren, and I have one large tub full of things already.  Actually I started right after Christmas when there was still some really good things on Clearance.

Last week I went to Hobby Lobby looking for something, and saw they had a lot of good craft things on the clearance wall.  To my surprise there was a set of interchangeable hook's for a bit over $10.  I put what I was going to buy back, and
bought one.  I have been wanting a set forever seems like.

I am still knitting on my afghan, and it is growing I will soon begin on the 4th. ball of yarn.  But, I couldn't wait until I got the afghan made before I used one of the hooks, so I saw that Cylinda Matthews had shared one of her little patterns, so I got out my set, choose the size 8 hook, and away I went making the little doily.
It is called Miniature Picot Lace Doily, and can be found here:

http://www.crochetmemories.com/blog/miniature-picot-lace-doily/

If you are looking for a little doily, something fast to make this is a good one.  I use little doilies on my wall shelves.

I used Aunt Lydia Coral, size 10 thread, and the size hook suggested.

Thank you for stopping by, and come visit me again.

Hello Blogging Friends

Hello Friends,

Raining here all day, but right now has let up.  Sun looks to be trying to come out too.

I am also working on another Pillowcase Doll.  It is going to have a crinoline doll crocheted on the front of the skirt, but I just haven't gotten around to blocking all the pieces, and making the doll.

I have been quiet lately because I am knitting an afghan.  I have it big enough now to give you a picture of my WIP.  It has taken me a month and half to get it this big, and I am on my 3rd skein of yarn.

It is called Sweet Scallops Throw, and you can find it here: If for some reason that doesn't work for you then just do a search for Sweet Scallops Throw. This is a very easy pattern.  If you know knit, purl, purl 3 tog, and yo you can make it.

Hope you are all have a good crafting day.

Finished January CAL making the squares for the Lapghan

Hello friends, I have had the squares finished for awhile now, but couldn't download a picture to my blog.  I finally figured out I needed another browser, so now I am sharing a picture of the finished CAL.
It is more the size of an afghan then a lapghan since I used the celtic lace join.  I am very pleased with the outcome of it.

Hello From Missouri

Hello Friends,

It's been awhile since I have posted a picture.  I have been working on my squares.  I have them bordered, and all but one blocked.  Life has just been so busy lately that I just can't seem to fit everything in each day that I would like to fit in.

I have made a Butterfly Chair set for a friend, and didn't want to spoil the surprise by showing it here until she got the gift.  So, now that she has gotten it I can share a picture with everyone.

I am sorry I can not share the website I copied this pattern from.  I failed to save the website, and have been searching for it, with no success in finding it again.  If you know where I can get this pattern again I would be ever so thankful to you.

Spring has finally come on the calendar, but we are still have cool temp's.  I see the flowers are coming up, and Easter Lilies blooming in spite of the cold.

Ok I will share a couple views of the chair set with you.  This chair set is different than the ones you normally see in that it has a solid crochet up the middle of the wings like the body of the butterfly.

Hope you enjoy my pictures.
