Crocheting Hats
Hello Family and Friends,
I have been crocheting hats. I've made 3 adult hats, and one for my grandson. He wanted an Iron Man Hat, so I did a search until I found one that suited him. He can hardly wait for the temp. to get cold enough to wear.
School has been out for deer season last week, and this week. They are sleeping over as often as mom and dad will let them, and of course us too. They would stay here around the clock if we would allow them. :) The adult hats I've made you can find the pattern on Ravelry ( free download ) French Vanilla Winter set. It also has a scarf. I will be making a couple scarves to go with the hats. I've also made a couple spiro scrubby's. You can find the pattern by entering in the search Spiro Scrubby by Judith Prindle 3/05. I don't have a picture of one, so will make one to share a picture.
Now to show you some pictures.
Hope you enjoy seeing what I am working on.

We have a new grandson!
Logan Eli Garner was born October 15th, 2016 weighted 7 lb. 2 oz. 20 inches long.
He came home with Jaundice, and a fractured collar bone. Of course we know it is
just a cartridge, but it should have been normal, not fractured. JMO
But, he has another problem called
Tracheomalacia - congenital. The doc. treating him said he has another baby that was born with the
same condition.
I don't agree with a doc breaking the mother's water, and inducing labor
hours before she gives birth. God did not intend for babies to come that way.
He break's the water, and then the baby comes.
Seems like babies are born on a doctor's schedule now days instead
of the way God planned them to be born. Well, no seems about it; they are.
They need that extra week to fully develop, and if
there are problems then a mother knows it was to be.
Mother and baby.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting me, comments are welcomed.

Finished Red Heart Sampler Afghan
Hello friends, and family,
It has been awhile since I posted here, and I see some of you have continued to come visit me in hopes that I have added something new, or designed something new.
I have been working absolutely month's on this afghan. 12 squares and each one of them are
a different technique other than the usual knit and purl stitches, and not all the same size which poses a problem setting them together.
School summer vacation for our grandchildren took out 2 month's of that time. Just can't concentrate with an 11, and 8 year old in the house, and it was so hot they couldn't be outside long, and most of the time when they could it was late in the evening after the sun went down; by then their parents were home from working.
So, once school got back in session I worked like a mad woman trying to catch up, and get the Afghan squares made, and set together.
Now I am in the process of making my DGS an Iron Man hat, as requested by him. I found a real neat pattern, but for some reason the directions are not working out for me, and I am not new to making hats, both crochet and knit, but do like to go by a pattern. Oh well, I'll look for just a simple plain hat for the back ground and see if this mask will work out right. I may even give the directions a second try to see if I missed something. I sure like this hat though.
Thank you for stopping in, and visiting me.

Hello Blogging Friends,
I was looking at everyone's blog, and realized it has been 5 months since I've posted here.
I hope each one of you have had a good 2016 year.
I haven't gotten to do much crafts in about as long. I have begun the Knit Sampler Afghan by
Red Heart. I am on square 4. If you are interested you can google for it.
I'm also working on my Christmas Snowflake Tablecloth, which I will show you a
picture of WIP when I get one more motif made, and joined.
As many of you know about Yahoo being up for sale. I have moved my group to the
io groups, and we are there as KNITTINGandCROCHET, so if you go to the io
groups and do a search you can find us easily (I hope) We are a busy group.
My Yahoo group is still active too, but not as active as the io group.
I'll say bye for now, and hope to talk to you sooner.

I Heart You Three Times......
http://rovingcrafters.com/2015/01/31/i-heart-you-three-times-a-free-pattern/
I just finished this washcloth. There were some new stitches I had never done before as you can see I have holes in the point of the heart, but I did try. :)
I hopefully will get back to making some snowflakes for those of you that come looking for a new one, but for now I have some other crafts I want to make. Just keep checking back to see what I've made next.
I have my August Bells Snowflake tablecloth started, but that will be a long running project as I am only working on it in between projects.
Come by again and visit. Leave me a comment, so I will know you were here, and that also lets me go visit your blog.

ANOTHER BUTTERFLY HAT
Sharing another Butterfly hat I made using two skeins of yarn. It looks a bit wonky because I had to put something over the head to get the hat to fit. I need to try and find a larger head form for the adult hats.
Anyway, I like how this one turned out. It was more of an experiment since I had never combined two yarns like this before, and I didn't want to carry the yarn, but to knit it into the round, and I managed to catch it up with the stitch in the center of each repeat.
You can see the variegated yarn in places, but I am learning. I am going to make another one with a Violet background, and the same variegated yarn for the butterflies.
I am now in the process of knitting a Valentine heart cloth. I am learning some new stitches making this cloth, and loving it.
Hope you like it, and be easy on me as I am still learning.

Butterfly Hat free Ravelry download
I made this Butterfly hat; a free downloadable pattern at Ravelry. Here is the link if you are
interested in making one. It is so easy I am on my second hat without even using the directions.

I love this design, and gifted it to my dear sister in law that is going though chemo. The hat is so easy, fast, and fun to make.

THINGS I HAVE MADE RECENTLY
New hats I just finished for my SIL that is going through
chemo treatments.
Crocheted Valentine Hat I just made this
morning. It has been entered into the
Valentine Theme in my group at Thread_n_Stitches
Yahoo group. If you come and request to join
you must return the questionnaire filled out, or you
will not be approved to join my group. I do have people
request that will not return the questionnaire, I supposed
they do not read the home page, or they would know it.
There is a Yahoo logo on the right side of this page
below you can click on and just visit my home page.
We are a private group.
Not sure who will get this hat, or if I will keep it.
It is a paid pattern called Hats for Healing by
Carri Hammett I really like this design, and
it can be worn by anyone.
These two hats are Chemo hats I made for my youngest
SIL that is going through treatments.
Made this hat and mitten set for my older SIL, and it turned out too big for her. Oh well, as it is said; "It the thought that counts"
The last picture is a scrubby I knitted with the new Red Heart Scrubby thread. I could not crochet with it, but knit was easy. I just CO 17 sts, and knit to the end turned and knit until the scrubby was square.I plan to start another knit hat soon. I do love to knit. :)
Have a great day!
Katheryn
