Vesper Doily

Our group CAL for July we are doing the Vesper doily.  It is a very small doily, and easy to make in one sitting if you are a very fast crocheter.   I made mine with Cameo color size 10 thread I bought at Hobby Lobby.  Here is the link to the pattern.  Hope you find time to join us and make it.

The only part of the pattern I changed was the border.  I sc in the chain sts instead of over the ch sts.  I think if you make the doily, and try both ways you will see that it is much nicer finished off in the chain sts. JMO

Grandson's Christmas Afghan Finished

Sharing with you what I have been working on for the last few month's.

I saw an afghan on the front cover of the little Bernat pattern booklet I get in the mail, and thought I do believe I could make my DGS a twin size blanket for his bed.

What looks Brown is actually a Grey color.  Don't know why it turned out to look Brown.

One of my friends her Son-in-law works on a River Boat, and I told her it would be so cute to make one for her grandson with Boats on it since it is ripple.

I did not have a pattern in full detail as how to make the afghan, so I just selected a Ripple Afghan, and did a search for some little vehicle's.

I could only find a car, truck, and fire truck.  Only 3 on this afghan are from free patterns and I made up the rest of them myself.

There is a tractor on the 2nd row from the top which I will share a picture of it here too.  I was kind'a proud of myself for making it up without a pattern, and the rest of the vehicle's too.  Hope you enjoy viewing my creating, yet not my original idea for the afghan.

Five Hour Doily

Hello from South East Missouri again.
This little doily is called a 5 hr. doily and it is
designed by Della Bieber.  You can find the
pattern here:

This little doily I made with Bernat Handicrafter thread size 5 crochet thread
and size 5 boye hook.  The true color isn't showing in this pic. the color is
Linen, and a very pretty color.

Our group Moderator hosted this CAL, and I made this with my group as our June CAL.  I will be hosting a July CAL
in my group using a small doily that won't take long to make.

Important to joining my craft group.

I've had a few to request to join my group although they did not
send back the questionnaire they received when they clicked
to join.

My group is private and I want to keep my group as
safe as I possibly can, and I do think that most
people appreciate this.

I do not approve anyone that does not return the questionnaire.
I give you ample time to return the questionnaire, and even in
some circumstances write the pending member to see if they
received the questionnaire, and if they do not respond in a
couple days I assume they are not going to reply, and I then
reject their request to join my group.

Hope this helps anyone that has tried in the past to join my group, by way of this blog, and was
not approved to know the reason why.

Have a nice day!

Snowflakes I've made this year to date..........

Some of these are ones I've designed since last August, and others are snowflakes from the web.
I do love making snowflakes, and they are just gorgeous hanging on the branches of the tree.

Enjoy!
